UK import and opener Tyler Easton struck 50, while Matt Wilson (46) and cousin Kade Wilson (43) made sure the home team finished its 70 overs.
“We’ll take that, we think it’s defendible,” Lane said.
“It’s a big ground at Corowa, the outfield was pretty slow, so it’s a pretty good score, probably a little bit above par.”
Since debuting for the club in round six, Easton has now played five games, scoring 47, 68 and now another half-century in his last three innings.
“He batted really well, his last couple of hits have been really good,” Lane said.
“He hits the ball pretty cleanly, he’s a good cricketer.”
Easton had to overcome the loss of fellow opener Damien Wilson (one) and Nathan Rhodes (0).
He combined in a 78-run stand with number four batsman Kade Wilson.
“Kade came in when we were 2-4 and spent a fair bit of time there,” Lane said.
“He and Tyler put on an important partnership to steady the ship and point us in the right direction.”
Matt Wilson then pushed the score past 200.
“He batted well at the end, he upped the rate a little bit towards the end and played some really nice shots actually,” Lane said.
“He came in with probably 20 overs to go and got the scoreboard ticking over.”
Corowa went into the game in fourth spot, with Lavington in second, boasting seven wins and just the one loss.
Meanwhile, Mount Beauty’s Damian Jenvey produced a superb century against Howlong.
Jenvey hadn’t made a half-century this season, but when he did pass 50, he kept going with 10 boundaries.
He made more than half the Power’s 181 against Howlong.
The visitors are 1-12.
And Wodonga scored 8-166 from 63.2 overs against Kiewa.
Opener Matt King posted his highest score of the season with 39, while former provincial player BJ Garvey, in only his fourth game, struck 27.
Number seven Mason Brown also snared his highest score of the summer with 26.
Kiewa is 0-2 and still chasing its first win.
The club made last year’s grand final, but has been decimated by the loss of several star players.
