Wodonga police have released CCTV footage of a man they wish to identify in relation to the theft and multiple offences of obtaining property by deception.
Detective Senior Constable Justin Foots said police believed the man stole a wallet out of a cricket player’s bags at Wodonga Cricket Club, Martin Park last Saturday.
The card was then used to buy items including cigarettes, clothing shoes and perfumes.
“We’ve recovered a lot of CCTV and that same male is depicted in all of the CCTV using that card,” Detective Senior Constable Foots said.
“We’re appealing for anyone who can identify the male to contact Wodonga detectives on (02) 6049 2600.”
The released footage, taken on Sunday morning at a Wodonga pharmacy, shows the man returning perfume bought with the stolen card and having the refund put on to another card.
