Police had been monitoring the black dual cab ute for hours when it attempted to turn into Laceby-Glenrowan Road, just off the Hume Freeway before the Glenrowan township, and rolled.
A Victoria police spokeswoman said officers responded to reports of a car bearing stolen number plates that was driving erratically in the area about 1pm.
“Officers tried to intercept, but the vehicle allegedly took off … there was no pursuit,” she said.
“The vehicle was monitored by police with assistance from the air wing before losing control and rolling on Glenrowan-Moyhu Road.
“Police arrested two males at the scene about 3.30pm and one was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
“The pair is currently in custody assisting police with their enquiries.
“Police are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident and would like to thank members of the community for their assistance.”
It’s understood at some point the ute drove off the road and through a fence.
