The Carevan Foundation has received $3500 from the second charity trots night, but the Albury Harness Racing Club will push for a Saturday date next year to build the fundraiser’s success.

Henk van de Ven, representing the club, said February’s event was held on a Friday this year, affecting crowd numbers slightly.
“It was a good night, but it could have been better; I think if it had have been a Saturday we would have doubled proceeds,” he said.
“But it’s $3500 Carevan wouldn’t have otherwise.
“It was a really good night with a lot of entertainment for families.”
The Lions Club of Lavington donated $2000 alone, contributing all proceeds of food sales from the night.
Carevan chief executive Stacey Franklin said the money would go to running costs.
“The contribution really helps, the support of our sponsors has been phenomenal,” she said.
