Features of the landmark Dean Street property upgrade completed by Jason Smith Construction included repair of all original window frames, all cracked glass, all non-painted surfaces, cracks in the facade and concrete pillars.
Built in 1926, the cinema centre works and colour scheme were approved by award-winning heritage architect, Noel Thomson.
The successful project will be entered in this year’s master builders regional building awards.
The most recent paint job on the building’s exterior was about 15 years ago.
Cromwell Property Group purchased the building in 2004.
Cromwell head of property Bobby Binning said the restoration works were an exciting project for both the company and community.
“This is just another example of our value-add capabilities at work, and our focus on providing exceptional outcomes for our tenants, their community, and our investors,” he said.
