Mrs Corrigan said the pair have loved their 15 months managing and owning the pub but weren’t able to dedicate the time they’d like to major renovations.
She said now their children were growing up, they want to spend time taking them to sporting commitments and being there as they grow.
The pair are selling the pub by expression of interest, with applications closing June 14.
“We already had a building business before we bought the pub and four children so it’s tough finding time for family,” she said.
“The family time has been interrupted a fair bit so while the children are still young we want to be there for them more.
“It’s purely a family decision because we’ve really enjoyed and tried our hardest with the pub.”
Mrs Corrigan said they will continue running the pub as usual while expressions of interest are collected.
CRE Broker Albury Ian McDonald said he expects the property to be well received.
The two-storey hotel was established in 1889 and rebuilt in 1918, boasts 11 hotel-style rooms, a manager’s residence, a public bar, gaming room, commercial kitchen, dining room, bistro, beer garden and turnover in excess of $850,000.
Mrs Corrigan said putting the pub up for sale was bittersweet, as they’d cherished their time with staff and Henty residents.
The Corrigans purchased the pub in late 2016 after previous-owner Paddy Hodgkin announced its imminent closure after years trying to find a buyer.
