It’s not clear what sent Amber Louise Segelow into a rage outside Zed Bar in the early hours of November 13.
The 25-year-old came to police attention when they went to the pub for a routine inspection.
Segelow was out the front and tried to push through a barrier and security guards to enter the venue as the police approached.
The guards told the officers she had been ejected for being drunk, which she fought against, and had been given a direction to move on.
At about the same time, police ejected a man from the pub, who started wrestling with police out on the street.
As they were trying to arrest him, Segelow punched a sergeant to the back of the head, leaving him with swelling and headaches.
A constable was kicked several times and bitten on his left arm as the 25-year-old thrashed about.
She was eventually handcuffed and led to a caged police vehicle, but again kicked the constable in his body in a bid to break free.
She was hit was capsicum spray, which had no effect, and was sprayed a second time in a bid to control the situation.
She had to be decontaminated after the incident.
In court, police described her behaviour as “extremely violent, aggressive, unprovoked and appalling.
Her defence lawyer, Mark Cronin, this week told the Albury Local Court her client was also “very affected by alcohol” during the latest incident.
Magistrate Tony Murray ordered Segelow, who wore red dreadlocks tied into a topknot during her hearing, to undertake 150 hours of community work and fined her $500.
“Quite clearly your behaviour was totally unacceptable,” he said.
“You repeat this behaviour towards police, the punching, the kicking etc … unfortunately you’re going to go to jail.”
