ALBURY Council has appointed Tracey Squire as the city's director of economic development and tourism.

Ms Squire's appointment is effective immediately.
It will increase the number of directors from four to five within the council's senior management structure.
General manager, Les Tomich said Ms Squire brought to the position experience in both local government and business sectors.
"This appointment will strengthen council's commitment to the city's future growth and development and reinforces the important role tourism has to play in achieving this," Mr Tomich said..
"Tracey will bring enthusiasm, drive and passion to this role and will achieve all of Council's aspirations for the portfolio."
In her new role, Ms Squire will be responsible for investment attraction, property and business development.
She will manage tourism development and promotion, the council's Visitor Information Centre that opens next month and the council's event and conference portfolios.
"I'm thrilled with this opportunity and honoured to take on such an important role for AlburyCity," she said.
"Having worked in tourism and economic development over a number of years, I bring extensive knowledge and expertise and an appreciation of the challenges and opportunities we face moving forward."
