McCormick will see Carlton Football Club doctor Ben Barresi today to find out the extent of the injury he suffered at the 20-minute mark of the third quarter against Corowa-Rutherglen on Sunday with coach Jason Lappin remaining upbeat after there had been minimal swelling.
“It hasn’t swollen up much which is good news,” Lappin said.
“That’s a start anyway.
“The movement is OK and we’re hopeful.
“I don’t want to comment too much though as he’s only seeing the surgeon tomorrow and it could well turn out to be an ACL.”
McCormick crashed to the turf in a seemingly innocuous incident during the elimination final after amassing 23 possessions in another strong performance.
