Border Mail staff including editor Di Thomas, as well as Albury businessman Stuart Baker took the campaign to the doorstep of Minister of Mental Health, Mark Butler.
More than 4000 butterflies and another thousand more signatures were presented to Mr Butler at Parliament House.
He congratulated the Border on its community campaign and said Albury-Wodonga has a
"very strong" chance of being designated a headspace centre in the next roll-out.
