THE Bermagui to Tathra Road is closed due to a fatal accident involving two riders on a motorbike and a car that occurred about two kilometres north of the Barabooka Road, Tanja just after 9am this morning.

One of the riders on the bike died at the scene, while the other rider was airlifted to The Canberra Hospital from the Tathra sports oval by the Snowy Hydro SouthCare rescue helicopter.
The driver of the white van involved was taken to Bega Hospital in shock and for mandatory blood and urine tests.
Live Traffic is reporting the road is closed at the Bermagui town centre and Dr George Road for the accident investigation.
This latest fatal motorbike accident happened exactly one week after another just north of Narooma on the Princes Highway that killed a local rider when he drifted across the centreline and was struck by a car.
