King, 18, was wanted for breaching parole conditions after he was jailed over a high-speed pursuit from Gerogery to Lavington in February last year.
King appeared in Albury Local Court yesterday through a video-link from Junee jail.
He has been charged with aggravated breaking and entering and committing a serious indictable offence in company after the theft of a safe from South Albury last month.
It is alleged King was with brothers Joshua John Miller, 19, and Caine Allan Nichols, 27, when they stole the safe with $10,000 in $100 notes inside.
Police have alleged the safe was taken to the Albury crematorium where an angle grinder was used to cut it open, but an alert neighbour notified police.
The court had been told Nichols, Miller and King left the scene in a Commodore and were pursued to North Albury where Nichols and Miller were arrested but King fled.
King did not apply for bail yesterday and the charge against him was adjourned until January 7.
