Noel Eddy, of Shepparton, has been in the fireworks game for 10 years.
“I’m a pyrotechnician but a lot of people would beg to differ on that and call me a pyromaniac,” Mr Eddy said, laughing.
“My nickname is Pyro.”
Mr Eddy let off 270 firework shells with weird and wonderful names like willows and strobes to an appreciative crowd at the Wod-onga Family Fireworks Spectacular.
“I got a sore hand from getting it shook so much,” he said.
“It’s got me fairly chuffed.
“It’s hard for me to tell on the night, firing from underneath.”
Mr Eddy said just like him, people loved fireworks.
“It might just be a human thing of loving to see things blow up,” he said.
“If they’re anything like me, it’s the colours and designs.”
