After winning the toss and batting at home, Walla made a competitive 132 thanks to some clever batting from Aaron Siemienowicz who top scored with 36.
He was supported by opener Justin Carter (20) and first drop Cameron Odewahn (22).
Walla’s lower order batsman did their best to boost the team’s score but time proved the enemy, the host finishing at 7-132.
Led by brothers James and Mark Kreutzberger Rand wasted little time with the stalwarts both making half-centuries before retiring.
It brought Will Swift to the crease who made 45 not out in Rand’s total of 3-188.
Burrumbuttock managed to defend 97 to defeat Oaklands by 32 runs.
It was all out for 65 due to some great bowling from Burrumbuttock all-rounder Darcy I’Anson who finished with four wickets.
There will one more round of Twenty20 games next week before the official season resumes.
