Cobram police Detective Sen-Constable Jason Williams said there was a dispute between two men in a house at a Cobram South Road orchard at 8.30pm last night.
Sen-Constable Williams said a man received multiple stab wounds to his head and abdomen.
He was taken to the Cobram hospital and has since been released.
Sen-Constable Williams said a man, 28, was charged with recklessly cause serious injury.
He was bailed to appear before Cobram Magistrates' Court on March 6.
