The commercial real estate agency has shifted into the ground floor offices of the recently completed $6 million building on the corner of Kiewa and Wilson streets built by Zauner Construction.
John Colquhoun moved his real estate business from Dean Street to the offices next door to the Albury Club four decades ago.
Dixon Real Estate from Wodonga bought into the operation in 2008 to become L.J. Colquhoun Dixon.
Director Andrew Dixon said the newly created firm then became solely a commercial real estate agency.
“Both L.J. Colquhoun and Sons and Dixon Real Estate were commercial and residential agents,” he said.
“But since 2008 we became purely a commercial agent dedicated to commercial and industrial real estate in Albury-Wodonga.
“We wanted to deliver a quality commercial, sales and leasing and commercial property management service.”
L.J. Colquhoun Dixon’s 16 staff, including four dedicated property managers and five sales and leasing staff, moved into the new offices this week.
Its former offices are owned by the Albury Club and L.J. Colquhoun Dixon is now trying to secure a replacement tenant.
“We have outgrown the old office,” Mr Dixon said.
“We had some offices where we had two or three people working and it was just inefficient.
“We had some great times in that building, but it is time to move on.”
Mr Dixon and Chris Kloppenborg are the directors of the real estate business.
L.J. Colquhoun Dixon shares the new building with ANZ business banking, Blueprint Planning and Ashby Accountants.
