Detective Sgt Russell Sheather made an appeal to the public yesterday outside the Wangaratta Court House where the inquest into the Myrtleford toddler’s death is being held.
Sgt Sheather, who investigated Daniel’s disappearance at the time, said information flowing from the inquest may jog someone’s memory.
“They may feel it seems inconsequential, but sometimes it’s the little pieces of the jigsaw puzzle that are placed together that help solve this matter,” he told media.
Sgt Sheather said a $100,000 reward exists for anyone who gives information that leads to the apprehension and conviction of Daniel’s killer.
Anyone with information is urged to phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
