Quirk won the title with an unanimous five-round decision over Geelong’s Kyle Sferco at the SS & A Club in Albury on Saturday night.
Quirk, who fights out of Synergy Training Centre under Simon Ward, won a tough encounter after dropping Sferco in the second round.
“It was a tough, close fight,” Ward said.
“Drew caught Kyle with a jumping elbow to the head late in the second round.
“But to Kyle’s credit he didn’t throw in the towel and kept fighting to the end.”
Quirk now has a record of six wins and a draw from 11 fights.
The 18-fight event attracted 600 people, with seven titles up for grabs.
Karlie Hodkin, also from Albury, took out the WKA mod Thai NSW title after a unanimous five-round decision over Sam Morton.
Other locals to win their fights were Pete Shannon and Pat Middleton.
Shannon, who weighed in at 96 kilograms, scored a technical knockout against the much heavier Ben Howitt, who tipped the scales at 177 kilograms.
The event is set to be aired on Fox Sports early in the new year.
