The Albury-Wodonga Military Area donated up to 70 presents to Wodonga Salvation Army after setting up dropping off points at its three bases.
Bandiana-Wodonga region service support manager Amanda Walters said it was a combined effort between military personnel, civilians and contractors BAE Systems and Transfield.
“The defence community has come together to contribute to the local community,” Ms Walters said.
“We saw it was a very worthwhile cause and are happy to be able to support our local Salvation Army.”
Salvation Army captain Russell Anderson said demand for gifts was up this year.
Meanwhile 104.9 Star FM and WAW Credit Union have passed on 857 toys to the Albury Salvation Army.
