From 2.30am to 4.50am, the mostly residential SP AusNet customers were left without electricity after a high voltage power line stopped feeding into the area.
The housing estate that appeared to be most affected included Menzies, Barton and Chifley streets, as well as Deakin Court.
An SP AustNet spokesman said complications accessing the estate’s underground electricity network caused a delay in the identification and restoration of the fault.
“We apologise for the inconvenience to customers,” he said.
“We dispatched crews as soon as we were alerted to it.”
The spokesman said they expected to have power to the remaining 100 customers by midday.
