Wodonga Detective Sen-Constable Ian Deverell said police arrested and charged a boy, 14, on Wednesday and he was bailed to appear at a Children’s Court at a later date.
The charges relate to a break-in at a home in Gordon Street last weekend where a mobile phone and an iPad was taken.
Sen-Constable Deverell also urged residents to lock their cars after police suspect youths to be breaking into vehicles in recent weeks.
He said the youths have been targeting unlocked cars parked in drive-ways and outside homes.
Simple steps like locking doors and removing valuables could stop thieves.
