The blaze broke out in a 10 metre by 15 metre shed detached from a house on a property on Castle Creek Road shortly before 5pm.
There was a small explosion from inside the shed not long after Country Fire Authority crews arrived, Wodonga CFA leading firefighter Brett Myers said.
“There were a number of fuels and chemicals inside that proved a danger in the fire,” he said.
Fire crews from Leneva, Baranduda, Barnawartha, Wooragee and Wodonga attended.
The blaze was contained in 20 minutes.
