The funds were handed over this week at a morning tea attended by representatives from the centre and Kiwanis club.
The centre’s manager Helen Murray said they were grateful for the club’s generosity.
“It will help make the centre more comfortable for parents,” she said.
“This room will be absolutely fantastic for them.”
Club secretary Peter Edgar said they wanted to donate to the centre, because of the need for it in the Murray region.
“To go to Melbourne is three hours away and you’ve got expenses including parking and overnight stays, where as this has everything you need at less cost and travel,” he said.
Mr Edgar said the money was raised over two years from events such as barbecues.
“We’re very impressed with the centre,” he said.
Ms Murray confirmed the NSW Health Minister Jillian Skinner would visit the centre for an official opening on February 5.
