Nineteen units at the Mint Street facility were burgled between 8pm on Saturday night and 4am yesterday.
Detective Leading Sen-Const Ian Deverell said it was difficult to say at this stage just what had been stolen, or the value.
“There’s a fair few victims involved with 19 units, and each had its own owner,” he said.
“So we are still following up with all the victims.
“But it is definitely a targeted offence where the offenders have gone looking for items to steal.”
Ldg Sen-Const Deverell said the thieves broke in by cutting padlocks.
“We’re appealing to the public for assistance,” Ldg Sen-Const Deverell said.
“Someone might have seen vehicles in the area.”
It is the second self-storage centre burglary in recent weeks, after a break-in at Grice Storage Systems in Kane Road.
In that incident, wheels valued at $2500 were taken from one of the units.
