Lowe canned the league in the lead up yesterday’s contest against Melbourne Heart after it was scheduled to be played in the heat of the day.
Although the match was pushed back two hours to 5pm, it was still the hottest match in the league’s short history.
Heat aside, Lowe said it was fantastic the match came to Albury.
“I think it’s brilliant,” he said.
“It’s great to come out to the country and spread the word and give people the chance to come to the game and experience the atmosphere.
“Harry Kewell signing autographs — the kids were buzzing.
“William Gallas has won the premier league, you only see these people on the TV sometimes.
“I think it’s outstanding that they do it.
“I think it should go out into the country and take the game elsewhere.
“Maybe do a bit more due diligence with temperatures and that sort of stuff but it’s a good concept.
“Maybe they should just take it to a bit of a cooler place next time.”
