The youths, a 15-year-old Albury boy and a 13-year-old boy from Corowa, threatened two female employees at The Newmarket Store as they were closing just before 6pm on Saturday night.
The women, aged 60 and 61, complied before the youths fled the Borella Road store on foot.
At 1pm the same day, the pair stole a 72-year-old woman's handbag at the nearby Harvey Norman Centre, dumping the bag and taking off with the cash inside.
The 15-year-old Albury boy was arrested last night and charged with armed robbery, two counts of receiving stolen goods and breaching his bail conditions.
He was refused bail and remanded in custody to appear at Albury Children's Court.
Police are still searching for the 13-year-old Corowa boy.
