Robinson is off to Wollongong to study and won’t play for the Tigers this year.
The young midfielder established himself at senior level last season and was one of just nine Tigers to play every game for the year.
Albury co-coach Daniel Maher said Robinson would be missed.
“He didn’t find out until last week, so it was a bit last minute,” Maher said.
“He was part of our mid- rotations last year and is definitely a loss.”
Jack Brooks (Turvey Park) has also left the club.
However, it’s not all bad news for the Tigers, with defender Jacob Collins and Howlong forward Bobby Griffiths joining the club.
Collins has returned to the area from Essendon’s Doutta Stars but faces a delayed start to the season because of injury woes, having been constantly troubled by knee injuries over the past few seasons.
The Tigers open their pre-season with a practice match against Canberra heavyweight Queanbeyan at Wodonga Senior Secondary College tomorrow.
The match starts at 3pm.
