Booker, who was one of the TDFL’s best players in their big win against the Hume league last season, signed with the Bombers on Tuesday night.
He played with coach Marc Almond at Yarrawonga earlier in his career.
“He’ll be a good player for us,” Almond said.
“It’s great to get another midfielder on board just before the season gets under way.”
Dederang-Mount Beauty takes on Yackandandah in Saturday’s opening round at Mount Beauty with both teams desperate to start with a win.
“We’re looking forward to it,” Almond said.
“We had three good pre-season hit-outs against Brock-Burrum, Murray Magpies and Barooga and I think as a whole our list has improved.
“All of the guys are more familiar with our game plan better after a year as well.”
Yackandandah is confident of improving and more will be known about its prospects after playing the Bombers, Rutherglen and Kiewa-Sandy Creek in the opening three rounds.
