They have been told a woman was gardening in the front yard of a house on Lawrence Street on March 25 when she was approached by a man who sexually assaulted her about 6.30pm.
The man was seen to walk away from the scene west along Lawrence Street towards Melrose Drive.
Police believe a number of cars slowed as they drove past the scene at the time of the assault and are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the assault, which may have looked like a domestic dispute, to come forward.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, with a medium build, aged 55-60 years with grey hair and a pot belly.
He was last seen wearing blue, faded, stonewash jeans and a black t-shirt.
Detectives yesterday afternoon released another FACE image of a man they believe can assist with their inquiries.
