He heads to Stawell for the professional athletics season finale having been a six-times semi-finalist.
But so far he has never gained a start in the main event.
Adams, who is also one of the committee driving the resurgence of the Albury Gift, will run from eight metres.
He will have the Border’s Marcus Arnold stable-mates Daniel Steinhauser (7.5m) and Lee Forrest (3m) for company.
This year the marquee 120-metre event carries a $40,000 cheque for the winner.
All three will have to give a start to Albury women gift winner and now national 100-metre record holder Melissa Breen.
Breen will run from 10.
TV channel ONE will broadcast the gift live in three hours of coverage that starts at midday Monday.
