BEECHWORTH DRIVE BACK IN TIME: Classics take cruisers back to the future

A SMORGASBORD of pre-1989 vehicles will take to the streets of Beechworth tomorrow for the annual Cruis’n Back in Time Street Cruise as part of the Beechworth Drive Back in Time.

The 21st Drive Back in Time, organised by the Beechworth’s Old Cranks Motor Club, will see more than 200 cars, panel vans and utes on display, with activities to start at 1pm with a barbecue at the old railway goods shed on Railway Avenue.

This will be followed by a point of interest car run.

Cost is $10 a car, including the barbecue.

Anyone with a vehicle more than 25 years old is welcome to participate in the cruise from 4.30pm, or you can bring the family and chairs and watch these vintage vehicles of the past drive by.

Sunday’s events start at 8am at the Town Hall Gardens, with a $5 entry fee per car. Entry for spectators is free.

A large collection of cars, trucks and engines will be on display, with trophies to be won for best exhibits.

Food and drink will be available to buy.
