POLICE have arrested a man, 21, accused of blowing up a mailbox and stealing a mobile phone.

The man was taken by police into custody from a West Wodonga home about 9.30am yesterday.
Two warrants had been issued for his arrest, one after the explosion and one when he didn’t show up at Wodonga Magistrates Court on April 9 on the phone theft charge.
The man was charged with multiple thefts, handling stolen goods, possession of a weapon, criminal damage, breach of bail and reckless conduct.
He is alleged to have detonated a powerful explosive device inside a Marshall Street concrete mailbox with two teens at 11am on March 28.
He and another man are accused of stealing an iPhone from the Optus Shop in Wodonga Plaza on January 7.
Police also arrested a Wangaratta man, 20, accused of setting fire to car, causing $25,000 damage.
The red Commodore was set alight about 4.45am on Tuesday in Wangaratta.
He was charged with arson and bailed to appear at Wangaratta Local Court on June 30.
