Only seven days after being blown away by Glenrowan, the Demons looked a different team as they ran out 22.23 (155) to 6.7 (43) victors.
While Tim Lewis was the chief destroyer with seven goals, the damage was done up the ground with Ben Clarke and Brandon Ryan dominant.
Simon Pane and Nathan Hooper also picked up plenty of touches.
Milawa coach John Conroy said it was important to bounce back strongly after a poor performance against Glenrowan.
“We had to rebound after a disappointing performance last week and I thought we did that,” Conroy said.
“We hardened up and played the brand of football we were looking for.
“Having 21 contributors helped and I thought we were hungry for the contested ball over the four quarters.
“I didn’t think the scoreboard was a true reflection, but I was pleased with the way the boys went about it.”
King Valley was best served by Stephen Beavis and Jono Rea.
Whorouly edged out Greta by six points.
The Lions trailed at every change before storming home thanks to the efforts of Anthony Ivone, Liam Harrington, Matthew Charleston and Josh Kelly.
Richard Leahy was effective with five goals.
Greta’s Chris Dube was outstanding with eight majors, with support from Brett Pollard, Mark Strack and Mark Pollard.
Bright downed Goorambat by 54 points, Glenrowan trounced Benalla All Blacks by 194 points, Bonnie Doon crushed North Wangaratta by 130 points and Tarrawingee belted Moyhu by 116 points, with Hamish Moore kicking 13 goals, including seven in a stunning first quarter.
