The Hoppers consolidated their hold on third spot with a commanding performance, with coach Ryan Forysth delighted with the way his charges went about it.
“Waaia has had the wood on us for a few years so it was good to get the jump on them and keep the pressure on,” he said.
“It was a really good team performance.
“Even though we started the season 0-3, I was still comfortable with where we were at and it was just a matter of getting the ball rolling.
“The boys have been good over the past month and hopefully we can keep it going.”
Although Rennie had winners on every line, none were better than Hopper ball magnet Cameron Sandral.
Sandral continually found space on a wing or on the ball while defenders Leon Wolfe and Matt Solimo provided plenty of rebound with some classy passages of play.
Sam Price and Jeremy Murphy were others to perform well.
“We had an even spread of contributors, particularly in the goalkickers, which was pleasing,” Forsyth said.
“It was good to see different blokes get on the scoreboard.
“You like to have more than one or two avenues to goal.”
Tungamah continued on its merry way by comfortably defeating Katandra, Dookie United knocked over Katamatite and Katunga surprised Shepparton East.
In the North West, Berrigan proved too strong for Mathoura with Jack Mynard and Chris Patten leading the onslaught.
Ladder leader Jerilderie hammered Deniliquin Rovers, Tocumwal accounted for Yarroweyah and Strathmerton took the honours against Blighty.
Both competitions will play interleague matches next weekend against the Riverina and Hume leagues.
