The Wangaratta man, 29, who recorded 0.13, told police it was their fault his licence was suspended.
“He told police they didn’t have to intercept him and said he thought it was unreasonable,” Sgt Mick Savage, of Wangaratta police, said.
The man was pulled over in Swan Street about 4am, driving an unregistered vehicle.
His licence has been suspended for 13 months and he was fined $614 and another $722 for driving an unregistered vehicle.
