Corcoran was found guilty of striking Wodonga’s Jake Hicks after being cited by the Ovens and Murray’s match review panel.
He was handed a four-game penalty but had one of those suspended.
He will miss the Saints’ next three games.
However, the club is still considering an appeal.
Corcoran, who had an unblemished record before last night’s hearing, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
However, he conceded he took Hicks high in an attempt to strip the Wodonga player of the ball in the third quarter of Saturday’s clash at John Flower Oval.
Corcoran apologised to Hicks on several occasions and was remorseful for what happened.
The tribunal, chaired by David Iverson, said it did not believe Corcoran deliberately struck Hicks but they labelled his actions reckless and the impact substantial.
Hicks left the ground on a stretcher and did not return.
He is still no certainty to play for the Bulldogs this week and told the tribunal he had to get a medical clearance to be picked.
Corcoran’s suspension put a sour note on Myrtleford’s first win for the year; the Saints beating the Bulldogs by 30 points.
