Critics are circling J.C. Lowe Oval after the Pigeons suffered a 45-point loss to Lavington last week.
That result followed a string of poor showings that saw Yarrawonga fall over the line against a handful of the competition’s battlers.
It’s enough for some to question the Pigeons’ chances of winning a hat-trick of flags.
Kennedy conceded the Pig-eons were in a hole but wasn’t hitting the panic button just yet.
“Myself and Drew (Barnes) are actually looking forward to the challenge of trying to get it right,” Kennedy said.
“That’s what coaching is all about, isn’t it?
“As coach you learn so much from losses and we’ll find out a lot about the character of the group bouncing back from a bad loss because Yarrawonga hasn’t had many the last few years.
“We’ll learn a lot about our list over the next month.”
While last week’s defeat took most by surprise, Kennedy said he saw the result coming.
“Our form has been down for a month or so,” he said.
“I’m interested to see how we rebound from a loss.
“Not just the players, but the club.
“There are a lot of people used to winning.”
With a blockbuster against Albury next week, Yarrawonga will be desperate to return to form against Wodonga Raiders today.
The Tigers are in devastating form and won their past three games by an average margin of 139 points.
