The meeting was originally postponed on Sunday because of surface water on the track in the hope the meeting could be held later this week.
But Racing NSW officials yesterday declared the meeting abandoned after it was unable to find a suitable replacement date with appropriate broadcast coverage.
It marks the end of the season for the Albury Racing Club.
Leading Albury trainer Brett Cavanough was once again a runaway winner of the Albury trainers’ premiership.
Cavanough finished the season on 147 points, well clear of his nearest rival in Wodonga trainer Brian Cox on 50.
Albury duo Kevin Hanley (43), Kym Davison (42) and Wagga’s Trevor Sutherland (30) round out the top-five.
Cavanough also holds a commanding lead in the Southern District trainers premiership on 46 wins with Sutherland next best on 31.
He also remains in the hunt for the NSW Country trainer’s premiership and is in second spot on 46 behind titleholder Luke Griffith, from Scone, on 51.
Cavanough boasts a far superior strike rate from 208 starters compared to Griffith’s 358.
Albury jockey Simon Miller has taken out the Albury jockeys’ premiership with 86 points.
Miller beat Canberra-based hoop Brendan Ward (71), Jake Duffy (54), Jye McNeil (36) and Tom Sadler (29).
He has also rode 24 winners in the Southern District to sit fourth in the jockey’s premiership behind Ward (31), Duffy (27) and Nick Souquet (25).
The Kevin Hanley-trained Eklands has taken out Horse of the Year honours on 18 points.
Eklands clinched the award after scoring a 10-length romp at Alb-ury’s most recent meeting late last month.
The four-year-old mare defeated stablemate Arctic Grey and the Cavanough-trained The Monstar who tied for second on 16.
Recently injured filly Scatcat (14) and the Mandie Jones-trained Kudagilla (11) also notched multiple wins at Albury.
The club will hold its opening meeting of the new season on August 14 and has been allocated 18 meetings.
The Albury Gold Cup carnival will be held on March 26 and 27.
