Jonathan, 8, of Staghorn Flat, is a student at Frayne College in Baranduda.
He will appear on a look-alike segment tomorrow morning.
The show put out the call for children who mirror its presenters, and mum Tracey sent a photo of Jonathan for a bit of fun.
“I thought I’d send a photo in because Jono looks a bit like Richard Wilkins,” she said.
“I thought it was a bit of a joke — I thought they might put a photo up on the screen.
“But I got an email the same day I entered and they asked us to come to Sydney and be on the show.”
Jonathan has never been on TV or visited Sydney and is excited, keeping his fingers crossed his ticket will be upgraded to first class.
“My teacher thinks it will be fun,” Jonathan said.
“But my friends think I will be more boring than everyone else.”
The show starts at 5.30am and Jonathan is expected to appear about 7.30am.
