Bocquet will take to the field for the Great Britain v France contest in the International Cup before officiating in a clash between Japan and Pakistan on Wednesday.
“We haven’t been briefed on the language barrier but all these guys have been used to playing for the past two years so they know the hand signals, understand the whistle,” he said.
“I think it’s a real privilege to have been selected from 150 umpires who put their hand up.”
Bocquet has been umpiring Ovens and Murray seconds in recent weeks.
“I don’t know what the standard is but the O and M twos is pretty quick so I should be OK,” he said.
