YACKANDANDAH’S Emma Johnson has taken out the Tallangatta league’s A grade netball best and fairest.
Johnson took the top honour from Barnawartha’s Georgette Meunier at the competition’s presentation evening at Albury’s Commercial Club last night.
Johnson, however, missed out on the Team of the Year, with Meunier named alongside Lauren Coelli, Joanne Withers, Narelle Pendergast, Ashlea Jacobs, Chlorissa Johnston and Ellen Cook.
Janine Ramage, Karina Cameron, Abbey O’Brien, Kirsty Baude and Laura Peters were named on the interchange, with Thurgoona’s Zanelle Gerecke the coach.
Mother and daughter Jodie and Mackensey House won the C grade and 13 and under best and fairests.
In other awards, Thurgoona won the league’s club championship with 768 points, followed by Barnawartha on 738 and Kiewa-Sandy Creek on 736.
Chiltern’s Mark Stephens was named volunteer of the year with Tallangatta’s Zac Gay the club umpire of the year.
