Mitchell had his hamstring iced up after the Tigers’ 63-point rout of Yarrawonga in the second semi-final and had been considered to be in some doubt to play in the decider.
But Albury co-coach Daniel Maher said late yesterday that something would have to go wrong this week for Mitchell to miss Sunday’s blockbuster.
“It was wait and see to start with but he’s been given the all-clear,” Maher said.
“He had a quiet week on the track last week but was back training in full on Thursday.
“There’s no concern.”
The Tigers will train tonight, Thursday and again on Saturday morning in the lead up to Sunday’s clash at Lavington Oval.
Maher didn’t rule out making changes to the side that thrashed the Pigeons a fortnight ago.
“We’ve pretty much got a full list to pick from,” Maher said.
“We’ve got no forced changes.”
