The winning margin by the host team’s six rinks was 42 shots in the morning and 53 shots in the afternoon.
Albury and District managed to win just one rink, with Norm Honey successful 23-10 against Ian Brimblecombe in the morning.
Ovens and Murray retained the Jack Beck Memorial Shield the two teams have competed for over many years.
Albury did manage to win the challenge between officials.
There was a 14-14 draw between the teams in the morning before Albury won 20-16 in the afternoon.
The best performed rink for the Ovens and Murray was Ray Moon, Ron Arnedt, Thomas Webb and skip Ken Widdison.
Widdison finished with two wins and plus 29 shots.
Just behind him with two wins and plus 28 shots was the rink of Wayne Lee, Josh Rudd, Chris Langdon and skip Jason King.
The best rink for Albury was Tom Papworth, Fred Markham, Jim Lee and skip Norm Honey with one win and plus two shots.
Albury will now pick its team for the annual Bing Wallder Shield at Narrandera on November 1-2.
It will be reduced to five rinks from the six which played against Wagga and the O and M.
O and M selectors would be impressed with the showing and will now pick a team to play Goulburn Valley in the annual challenge in a couple of weeks.
Players who perform well in that clash are in contention for the O and M team taking part in the Victorian sides championships at Corowa in early January.
Bowls Victoria has entered an agreement with Corowa Council and Corowa Civic Bowls Club to host the annual event there for the next three years.
It will be held on January 10-11 next year with an estimated influx of about 250 people.
There are teams from the 16 regions along with managers, selectors, umpires, state officials and family members.
Bowls Victoria president John Fisher said yesterday Corowa Civic had done a superb job of regenerating the greens and club surrounds most through the efforts of volunteers.
