Now free of the niggling wrist injury that put a stop to his golfing year, the former Corowa junior says it has taken 2½ rounds at The Australian to feel at home on the course he led at after two rounds not so many years ago.
Fraser is also keen to make up for the eight months he missed through injury and a disappointing weekend at last week’s Masters.

“It was pretty disappointing last week, I thought I was building some momentum on the Friday and then just played ordinary on Saturday and Sunday,” he said.
“But it feels like I’m turning it around.
“The first nine was ordinary in practice, the second nine a bit better and it’s felt OK out here in the pro-am this afternoon.”
Fraser will tee-off with final round leader of the Masters Paul Spargo and tour veteran Peter O’Malley at 7.35am today.
The trio will start at the 10th, with Wodonga’s Zach Murray to follow 40 minutes later.
“I’ve struggled here in the past, a few years ago I led after 36 holes and then just never fired on the weekend,” Fraser said.
“The wrist feels all right I just have to get over all the other old aching parts.
“The course is fine, it’s long but it’s fair.
“You have to hit it a long way but you also need to hit good shots into the greens.
“They did the right thing changing the 14th back to a par 5, it was a no-brainer, you couldn’t play it as a par 4.”
