Woman dies in car crash at Rutherglen
A WOMAN has died after her car collided with a grain truck on the Murray Valley Highway in Rutherglen yesterday afternoon.
It is believed the woman was travelling south on Federation Way when her Ford XR6 sedan collided with the prime mover, which was travelling east on the Murray Valley Highway, about 5.20pm.
The Wangaratta woman, 46, died at the scene. She was the sole occupant of the car.
The truck driver, a 39-year-old man from Rutherglen, was uninjured and assisted police at the scene.
