With leading trainer-driver Amanda Turnbull in Sydney for tomorrow’s bumper Interdominion meeting at Menangle, Moran has picked up several drives for the stable.
Moran will partner Itdontmattertome in the $14,790 Albury Pacers Cup (2570m) alongside stablemates Hes Okey Dokey and Chumlee in the supporting races.
Moran intends on making a lasting impression.
“It’s not often Amanda uses drivers from outside,” Moran said.
“So I suppose it’s a bit of a privilege to pick up the drives and hopefully I can make the most of the opportunity.”
Moran said the cup looked an open race on paper and was confident Itdonmattertome could improve sharply on his last-start eighth at Melton in much tougher company.
“My best hope of winning the cup is if they can run the race pretty genuine early, he is capable of finishing over the top of them,” he said.
“When you look at it, it is a big drop back in grade and he has been racing competitively in much tougher company than this.
“There looks to be a fair bit of speed off that front row and the sparks could really fly early.
“But Hollywood Sign is in terrific form and could be the horse to beat if he finds the front.”
Moran declared both Hes Okey Dokey and Chumlee as the testing material in their respective races.
“Hes Okey Dokey has drawn gate two and should lead,” he said.
“But even if they don’t hand up to him he has the ability to sit outside this lot and win.
“Chumlee is flying and should also find the front from gate five and prove hard to catch.
“If I had to pinpoint my best drive, it would be Chumlee.”
