THE Albury Gold Cup was accessible to every home with pay TV in Britain yesterday.
And the race that stops a city was broadcast to more than 10 countries, including the US and Sri Lanka.
Sky Racing frontman Andrew Bensley said the growth of the carnival had been amazing.
“I’ve been with Sky for 17 years but it has been the past five or seven years that it has become a great meeting,” he said.
“John Miller has done a great job attracting the best trainers to the carnival and this year we see Godolphin here. That doesn’t happen by accident and Albury has a lot to be proud of with these two days of racing.”
