But another Albury boy, Brodie Loy, pictured with Bede Murray, isn’t far behind.
On Tuesday the son of former hoop Norm Loy returned to Wagga with a book of seven rides.
After a slow start to the day the now Sydney-based apprentice kicked home two winners, two seconds and a third.
They were all good odds, the winners trained by Murray at $5 and $7 respectively, while Loy almost booted home former Myrtleford O and M coach Andrew Dale’s second winner when beaten into second place on $20 chance Staretto.
He’ll be back for the Wagga Cup next week but in the meantime you could do worse than have something on some of his five rides tomorrow.
