Willy Jones, from Tullibigeal-Lake Cargelligo, was another named des- pite missing Friday night.
Jeffery and Jones were chosen to play in the representative clash between group 9 and group 20 when it was the curtain-raiser to City-Country, but withdrew when the game was pushed back five days.
Jeffery is joined by teammate Andrew Cowhan in the Riverina team.
Riverina coach Josh Cale, along with group 9 coach Andrew Hinchcliffe and his group 20 counterpart Rohan Loudon selected the team last night.
Cale said Jeffery “picks himself” and the trio didn’t hesitate to name either player in 17-man team.
“Both would have played on the first week that the game was supposed to be played,” Cale said.
“So we weren’t too worried about that.”
Michael Henderson has also been included as 19th man pending his recovery from an ankle injury.
The halves were the toughest decision, but Cale elected to go with the experience of Southcity’s Nathan Rose and new Tumut coach Arana Taumata.
“We weren’t sure what combination to go with,” Cale said.
“The halves and centres were tough plus trying to find the balance of the team with someone of the bench who could fill a few holes in different positions.
“We think we have covered them pretty well with four we’ve got.”
The team will now tackle Northern Rivers at Bathurst on May 30, the same team that defeated them comfortably last season.
