Inspector Peter McLay said police believed the incident where two cars were destroyed by fire early yesterday morning were linked to previous torchings over the past month.
“We are keen for information to put a stop to this before someone else loses their pride and joy,” he said.
Police and firefighters were called to two cars found alight at 4am yesterday in Ashmont’s Silverlight Reserve. One of the cars, a Ford Falcon, was stolen from a Lake Albert address.
Police are yet to identify the owner of the second vehicle, a Mazda CX-9.
